Charity concert for Ukraine

With this special concert, the Stunde der Musik and the Kammermusikverein Halle e.V., together with the Francke Foundations, would like to express their solidarity with the Ukrainian people and set a musical sign for peace and freedom in Europe.

The pianist Tomoko Ogasawara, who resides in Germany, first studied in her native Tokyo, then continued her musical education in Berlin and Freiburg im Breisgau for the soloist exam, which she completed with distinction and earned her 1st prize at the German University Competition. Among her formative teachers were Georg Sava, Tibor Hazay and Georgy Sebok, who led her to early artistic successes, including as a finalist at the international competitions “Maria Canals” in Barcelona and “Clara Haskil” in Montreux.
Since then she has appeared regularly on the stages of the international music world as a soloist and with orchestras and also performs in chamber music ensembles such as the “Ensemble Abraxas” and piano trio “Franconia”, together with Albrecht Mayer, Jörg Widmann and Tabea Zimmerman, among others.
She has made numerous CD recordings and radio broadcasts. She shares her rich musical experience at the Hochschule für Musik Freiburg and at master classes in Japan, Germany and France.
